Day 1: Haridwar to Rudraprayag/Guptkashi (190Kms /6 -7Hrs drive)

Break of day after breakfast drive for Rudraprayag. Visit on the way places such as Satyanaryan Temple, Devprayag. Overnight stay at hotel in Rudraprayag or Guptkashi.

Day 2: Rudraprayag/Sitapur to Kedarnath to Rudraprayag/Sitapur

Sunrise after breakfast, drive to Gaurikund. Visit on the way spots such as Guptkashi temple. Start your trek (By walk, horse, pony or dolly) to Kedarnath. (Helicopter service is also available from Phata) Visit Kedarnath Temple and Back for Rudraprayag or Sitapur. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag or Sitapur.

Day 3: Sitapur/Rudraprayag to Haridwar (165Kms / 4-5 Hrs drive)

Daybreak after breakfast, drive back to Haridwar. Visit sightseeing of Rishikesh and Devprayag on the way. Overnight stay at hotel in Haridwar.

How many days does the Kedarnath tour from Haridwar take?
The Kedarnath tour is a 2 Nights / 3 Days package. Day 1: Haridwar to Rudraprayag/Guptkashi (190 km, 6–7 hrs). Day 2: Gaurikund to Kedarnath darshan and back. Day 3: Return to Haridwar via Rishikesh and Devprayag. Helicopter from Phata is available as an option.
What is the best time of year to visit Kedarnath?
Kedarnath Temple is open only May to October/November. It opens on Akshaya Tritiya and closes after Diwali. Best weather is May–June and September–October, avoiding heavy monsoon rains. Booking well in advance is strongly recommended as the pilgrimage season fills quickly.
Is trekking to Kedarnath compulsory or is a helicopter available?
Both options are available. The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is 16–18 km one way, done on foot, horse/pony, or dolly (palanquin). Helicopter service is available from Phata for those unable to trek. Ganga Harmony assists with both options at the time of booking.
What sightseeing is covered en route to Kedarnath?
En route, the package covers Satyanarayan Temple, Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi), Guptkashi Temple, and Rudraprayag. On return, guests stop at Rishikesh and Devprayag. These sacred prayags are considered highly auspicious and are an important part of the pilgrimage experience.

Kedarnath sits at 3,584 metres (11,755 feet) above sea level. We recommend: acclimatising at Rudraprayag before ascending, staying well-hydrated, avoiding alcohol, carrying warm clothing, and consulting a doctor if you have heart or respiratory conditions.
